There is no better place in Bali, than Ubud, to observe the compelling natural beauty of the island and discover the traditional culture of the local people. On a gentle trek you will see a variety of landscapes including the gorgeously green rice terraces, distant mountains and tropical jungle. You will also gain an insight into Bali’s rich culture by exploring a traditional village where your guide will explain all about local life and traditions.
What to bring:
Guests are collected from their hotel and driven to Bresela, a village just outside Ubud, where the tour begins at a traditional family compound. Here you can enjoy a light breakfast of Balinese cakes with tea and coffee. Your guide will lead you around the busy compound where you will see the family temple, traditional living quarters and probably a fair few farmyard animals too!
From the compound you’ll start a leisurely trek through the stunning rice field landscape and pop into the local school where the young students are sure to greet you with big smiles and boundless energy!
We continue to walk through the tranquil countryside taking in more serene views of the surrounding mountains, river and jungle foliage.
The trek concludes with a well-deserved cold drink and scrumptious home cooked lunch at a local homestay.
